You may notice that many of the stations we used to list here are gone, and I trully regret that. As you may have heard, the Librarian of Congress in the United States recently released a rate for Digital Sound Recording Performance (DSRP) royalties. Unfortunately, that rate presents a liability to these small broadcasters even though they operate from outside the United States.

Many independent webcasters were quite vocal about the structure of the royalty rate, advocating one that was based on a percentage of revenues. However, the rate was based on a "per-performance fee," which creates considerably more difficult conditions for the nascent webcasting industry to grow.
