Anthonians.org is all about reacquaintance!

For us, St Anthony's Home for girls was our family. The orphans who lived there and the day-students attending classes with us were our sisters, playmates, and life-long friends. The Nuns and Priests . . . the teachers, nurses, and staff were our guardians, our parents, our family. We lived, slept, ate together. We laughed together . . . we cried on each others shoulders or on the arms of motherly protection. We grew up to become self-sufficient, loved, and wanted members of society . . . and for that we owe an eternal debt of love and gratitude to St Anthony's Home for Girls.

We grew up . . . and we moved on to take our places in society. We married . . . we began exciting new careers buoyed by the confidence and encouragement given. Many of us moved away . . . to distant lands and exciting new challenges. But we never forgot our "sisters", nor those who cared for us.

This website is an attempt to begin that reacquaintance once again . . . to bring back together the numerous people who were involved with our former "Home". It is a chance for them to share with one another once again and to bring each other up to date on the happenings since we last saw them. It is also a chance for us to share with the world the uniqueness of St Anthony in particular and all such Homes in general that contribute to making life better for those least able to share the bounties of a loving life.

We hope you enjoy our site. We have included many resources that we think are appropriate to the likely visitor in the hopes that you will come back again and again. We would dearly love to hear your comments in our guest book.
